Born in Messina, Antonino Siragusa studied music at the ‘Arcangelo Corelli’ Academy of Music. He recently made his Opéra National de Paris debut in Il barbiere di Siviglia and his role debut as Argirio in Tancredi at the Teatro Regio in Torino. Other recent engagements include La Cenerentola at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin and the New National Theatre, Tokyo, L’elisir d’amore in Piacenza, L’italiana in Algeri at the Staatsoper, Berlin, Rossini’s Stabat Mater and Il turco in Italia at the Teatro Carlo Felice, Genoa.

Other recent engagements include Guglielmo in Così fan tutte with Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Papageno at the Bilbao Opera conducted by Spinosa, Eugene Onegin at the Festival de Lanaudiere conducted by Kent Nagano, and Figaro in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Hamburgische Staatsoper and the Canadian Opera Company.

Yijie Shi studied singing at the Toho College of Music in Tokyo and graduated top of his class in 2006. Yijie then moved to Europe to continue his studies in Graz, where he won the International Singing Competition ‘Ferruccio Tagliavini’ in 2007. Having been the revelation of the Rossini Opera Festival 2008, singing the role of Cavalier Belfiore in Il viaggio a Reims in the ‘Accademia Rossiniana’ production, he was immediately invited back to sing the title role in Le Comte Ory in 2009. Other recent engagements include L’elisir d’amore at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari and Mozart’s Krönungsmesse at the Teatro Manzoni in Bologna.
